Q. The Serving It Right™ program is now a condition of employment. What does this mean?
A. Those required by law to have Serving It Right must hold a certificate in order to work, or hold a licence. Whereas the original program offered a 120 day grace period for applicants to complete the course, the new program does not.-

The cost to take the exam via the print option is $40.00; which includes a plastic certification card. In order to access the course materials online, you must register with an email address and password. You must complete the registration process and provide payment prior to accessing the exam. -
Q. What are my payment options?

Q. I have my Server certificate already. Do I need to take the new SIR program?
A. Not necessarily. All current certificates are still valid. Only new applicants and staff being promoted to management duties are required to take the new program. You may choose to take the new program for a nominal fee of $10.00.Q. I have my Licensee certificate already. Do I need to take the new SIR program?
A. No; however, you may choose to take the new program for a nominal fee of $10.00.Q. Why would I take the new SIR program if I don’t have to?
A. In today's legal environment, increasing responsibility is being placed on licensees, managers and servers related to the service of alcohol. The new program puts more emphasis on signs of intoxication, legal liability, duty of care on and off premises, and the necessity to create and enforce responsible beverage service policies. It is to the benefit of anybody involved in serving alcohol to have the most up-to-date knowledge.Q. Why is there only one program now?
A. From floor staff to management and owners, the principles of responsible beverage service are the same. Now, more than ever, alcohol providers must take steps to minimize the risks of litigation. A single program that teaches and reinforces the same messages to all employees provides a business with consistent training that is the best defence towards prevention.Q. I registered but didn’t complete my exam. Will I have to re-register and pay the new course fee?
A. No; however, you will have to study the new material and take a new version of the exam. On the log in screen, logon with your first name, last name, security information and date of birth. From there, you can select to go through the new course or write your exam.Q. If I pay and start a test online, but don't complete it, can I get a refund?
